President Coleman stated that he has been in contact with Don Theobald and he is improving and has been moved from the critical care unit to a regular room. Don can receive calls at 815-226-2000 room 406 A. He is scheduled to be there for at least one week and then will be moved to a rehabilitation facility for three weeks and then home. Give him a call or drop him a card.

Bob Coluzzi displayed one of the t shirts with the Mazda logo that are for sale. Price for one T-shirt is $7.95. These have the Mazda Logo embroider on the front. He has one left in black, and some in white, and some in red. The shirts are very nice, soft material and the logo is very eye catching. Bob is also going to research the possibility of having golf type shirts made up with the logo. Thanks Bob for your efforts.

On April 30, 2008, the Knights of Sleights will hold their annual flea market at at the Diplomat banquet hall, Route 83 and North Ave, Elmhurst.

Our May meeting will be a lecture by Doc Morrissy. It will be the same lecture as described above for SAM #106.

The evening's magic demonstrations were for Mentalisim. The following individuals presented effects:

Steve Mills closed the evenings instructions with a demonstration of the Million Dollar book test.

Meeting Minutes of January 10, 2008

President Bob Coleman called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

The treasurer and secretary’s reports were accepted by acclamation.

Members are reminded that the February meeting will be our “Christmas/Valentine” party. Anyone attending must notify Bob Coluzzi and if they will be bringing guests. There will be plenty of food and if anyone wishes to bring a dessert, or cookies, side dish are welcome to do so. Members of the new Rockford Roundtable magic club will be on hand to demonstrate magic.

The Knights of Columbus annual chili cook off is February 9, 2008 from 3:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at St. Thomas Moore Church, 1935 W. Highland Ave., Elgin, Ill.

The tentative schedule for our member’s participation is as follows:

On the third Monday of March, Mazda members will travel to the Rockford Roundtable magic club to perform magic.

Don Theobald has been released from the hospital after undergoing carpal tunnel surgery. Don would probably appreciate hearing from club members.

The business meeting was closed at 8:10 P.M.

Our guest lecturer, D.J. Ehlerts, owner of Kenosha Magic in Kenosha, Wisconsin, presented an interesting power point presentation outlining important business considerations all magicians should be aware of as well as strategies for restaurant workers. D J has an in depth program of the lecture points for sale to those who are interested.After the power point presentation, D J did a professional rendition of a ring on a string and a three coin production.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
